Support

Which devices are supported?
iLidar needs a LiDAR sensor and iOS 17 or later:
- iPhone 12 Pro / Pro Max and every later iPhone Pro model
- iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation) and later
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation) and later
- iPad Pro 11-inch and 13-inch (M4) and later
On iPhones and iPads without LiDAR the app opens to a screen explaining that the device isn't supported, because scanning depends on the sensor.
The camera view is black or the scanner won't start
iLidar needs camera access. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and turn on iLidar, then reopen the scanner. If another app is using the camera (for example a FaceTime call), close it first.
My scan stopped or paused
Calls, Control Center or switching apps pause the scan. Return to iLidar and it resumes. Move slowly and keep surfaces 0.5–5 m away for the best results. The device may also slow down when it gets hot during long scans.
Where are my scans stored?
On your device only. iLidar has no account and no server, so scans are never uploaded by us. They are included in your iCloud Device Backup if you have it turned on. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I export or share a scan?
Open a project and tap the share button. 3D scans export as PLY, LAS (local or georeferenced), CSV and PDF reports; room plans export as USDZ, DXF, PNG, SVG, PDF, CSV and JSON. Files go through the standard iOS share sheet, so you can AirDrop them, save them to Files or send them to another app.
How do I geo-tag scans?
Turn on Settings → Location → Geo-tag scans in iLidar. The next time you open the scanner, iOS asks for location permission. The location and compass heading are saved with each 3D scan and used for georeferenced LAS exports. Geo-tagging is off by default.
How do I delete a project?
Long-press a project in the list and choose Delete. You have a few seconds to tap Undo. Deleting the app removes all of its data.
